ABOUT THIS PAINTING

This painting was created on location in the Pyrenees in a place called Estaing, FR. I set out that morning to find the perfect view to paint and found it in a special valley. A haze infused everything with a tan hue. This atmospheric perspective needed something and so became the backdrop for two beautiful and fluttering white butterflies.
